Rooted Again: God’s Plan for New Beginnings

The Current and The Future

There are seasons in life when everything feels overwhelming. We carry work, family, expectations, and silent prayers in our hearts. In these seasons, we may feel stretched and tired, yet deeply aware that God is calling us into something new.

As I stand on the edge of this new chapter for Rooted Dreams, I feel God whispering a simple truth: “You can start again. And this time, you will be rooted in Me.” This article marks the official beginning of that journey.

New Beginnings Are God’s Specialty

Throughout Scripture, God consistently shows us that He is the God of fresh starts. As it says in:

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”
Isaiah 43:19

However, God doesn’t wait for life to be perfect before He moves. He moves right in the middle of our chaos and our mistakes. Therefore, a new beginning is not a sign of failure; rather, it is proof of God’s grace on your life. Every time we decide to reset or return to Him, He meets us with guidance.

Being “Rooted Again” Is a Personal Journey

For me, starting again means choosing to rebuild my foundations with intention. This transition isn’t just about restarting a career; it is about becoming who God wants me to be as a woman, a wife, a mother, and a creator.

I am choosing to be:

  • Rooted in faith, not fear
  • Rooted in purpose, not pressure
  • Rooted in identity, not insecurity
  • Rooted in growth, not perfection

Starting again reminds me that God is not just giving me new responsibilities. Instead, He is giving me new grace to handle them.

When God Calls You Into a New Season

Sometimes a new season arrives quietly after a long storm. Other times, it arrives when we don’t feel ready. Your season of starting again may look like:

  • Rebuilding your spiritual life.
  • Restarting your dreams or career.
  • Opening your heart after disappointment.
  • Learning a new skill (like tech or leadership).

Whatever your beginning looks like, know this: God is already in that future, preparing it for you. This new beginning isn’t only about restarting my career, family, or building income streams. Rather it is about building a great relationship with Him. One that allows me to have deeper trust in Him that is on a higher level. That trust is greater such that whatever situation I find myself in I know and believe that He always makes a way.

I can say I have always had faith and believed in so many situations. If I were to start talking about His faithfulness especially in new seasons I would spend the whole day sharing. Instead, this is not just about me but I want to motivate someone to trust God, believe in Him and have faith in Him in every season.

My New Season Testimony

Now that I am writing this I have actually had a revelation of a new season that God had a plan for me. But I never really took it as one because when I got into that season I thought it was impossible. I had eventually grown weary of my job which I got because of His grace (which I have written about in this post: When God Made a Way Where There Seemed to be None). However, God knew that it was now a time for a new season.

I remember telling my then boyfriend now husband that I want a new job with new challenges. I wanted the experience of working for a bigger company since the company I worked for had only 15 people. My target was a big company and I remember I journaled about it and added it as a prayer point. I really doubted myself and didn’t think I had a chance of getting into that organisation. God showed me that it is possible when its His time anything is possible.

The smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation. At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.

Isaiah 60:22

The New Season

It was my season because there was divine timing. There were job posts from the company and my husband encouraged me to apply. I applied for 3 posts and I got called for interviews to 2 of the posts. Fortunately, it was the same panel that I had for the both interviews. Hence I met them for the first post and I met them again in the second post interview.

In the second post interview, one of the panelists was impressed by my inputs and I found favor in her. She asked if I was interested in another post which I hadn’t even applied for as she said she thought I was a perfect fit. She also went on to say I won’t need to do interviews for this post but that I had gotten the job and they would be in touch.

How I Had Prepared for The New Season

We had prepared thoroughly for those interviews with my husband’s help. I had even forgotten that I was praying for a new job, a new season. When the opportunity came I almost let fear and doubt make me lose that opportunity. However, I thank God for my husband because he was my helper during that season. He helped me keep my faith and hope.

Eventually I got the job at my dream company. his was a prayer answered in a new season. I am forever grateful to God and I know that He will do it again.

Lessons God Is Teaching Me About New Beginnings

  1. Start Small and Truly: Everything doesn’t need to be perfect. God blesses obedience over performance. You only need the first step, not all ten.
  2. Depend on His Strength: Your life is full of roles motherhood, career, and leadership. Because God renews our strength daily, we can choose surrender over striving.
  3. Trust the Preparation: Every skill you learn is part of God’s plan. Consequently, nothing in your journey is wasted.
  4. Value Consistency: A little progress every day becomes a testimony in a year. God multiplies faithful seeds.
New beginnings and spiritual growth.

A Prayer for My New Beginning

Lord, I thank You for the grace to begin again.
Plant me deeply in Your wisdom,
strengthen me with Your peace,
and guide me with Your purpose.
Let this season bear fruit that honours You,
blesses my family,
and transforms everyone who reads these words.
Make me rooted again in You.
Amen.

A Word for You

If you’re reading this, perhaps you are also in a season of rebuilding. Here is a gentle reminder: You are not behind. You are not forgotten. You are simply being replanted. With God, every ending is the soil for a new beginning.

Rooted Dreams Starts Here This journey is a commitment to grow in faith, skill, and discipline. I am choosing to be rooted in God’s perfect timing and unshakeable love.
